Let It Go, Let It Go...

One of PEAR Accounting’s slogans is “Chances are you didn't open a restaurant because you love accounting.” We say this because most restaurants, whether new or existing, have owners that are experts in creating culinary masterpieces, but not necessarily creating (or wanting to create) accounting reports. Oftentimes it means you end up working more IN your business rather than ON your business. Even with all the software and programs available to help manage your restaurant's finances, the time it takes to do payroll, handle accounts payable, manage vendors, clear reconciliations and so on and so forth, really adds up. So we say, “let it go, let it go.

We know that the restaurant industry is competitive and cyclical in nature. Many restaurants operate on a slim margin subject to the whims of tourism trends, weather and other factors beyond anyone’s control -- you know, like a global pandemic. The purpose of accounting is not just to keep the books, but to empower you to make better decisions about how to manage your restaurant. But how can you do all of that, handle day-to-day operations and envision how you want your restaurant to grow? Do you ever worry about missing something?

As business owners ourselves, we understand that letting go and placing your trust in a third party is a big leap. However, I would argue that sometimes you need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. What could you do with all that extra time if you let us take the accounting off your plate? Would it allow you the time to actually work on your business and increase revenue? Could you take a break to spend time with family and friends and not worry whether payroll has run or invoices have been paid? We believe that placing your trust in us is the easiest way to get and keep your restaurant’s financials on track. Why stress on the stuff you don’t do best?

If you aren’t convinced yet, think about all the things you don’t need to learn that we already know. Payroll, cash flow, accounts payable, budgets, business strategy, tax planning, etc. It's all music to our ears!

As your partner, we are in it for the long haul. We want to help you with business planning, building goals and measuring progress. Down the road, when you are ready to start a new venture, sell your restaurant or retire, we can work with you to make a plan and have systems and processes in place to move you into your next chapter.

We love what we do, let us help you get back to doing what you love.
