Amber K. León, EA, Founder
With over 13 years of experience in the accounting industry Amber has hands-on knowledge of various types of accounting software and enjoys helping clients find the best solutions to fit their accounting needs. She incorporates the tools of today's technology whenever possible as it reduces data entry errors and increases efficiency.
Her work experience began with doing bookkeeping for her family's local business, which has given her a special appreciation for the accounting needs of small business owners. She understands the difficulties that small businesses owners face when it comes to proper accounting, developing internal controls and being compliant with local, state and federal agencies.
She also understands the difficulties of juggling a family and running a business, which is why she provides flexible hours outside the normal 8-5 of everyday accounting firms. Amber spent more than 8 years working in a local public accounting firm and has a strong background in tax preparation. She understands that proper accounting records can provide essential information for management decisions as well as tax planning and play a vital role in the growth of a business. She has a passion for teaching business owners about their books and believes that knowledge is important and helping clients truly understand their books makes for a more valuable asset.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and holds certifications for QuickBooks and Bill.com.
In 2012, Amber became licensed as an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, and in February of 2016 Amber founded PEAR Accounting Solutions.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
Edward Olvera, BS, Accounts Payable Support
Edward is a Napa Valley native and brother of 4 siblings. He graduated from Vintage High School. Edward holds an Associate of Arts degree from Napa Community College in General Education and Natural Science and Mathematics as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University Sacramento with a concentration in Finance. Edward plans to return to school to further his education in accounting. In addition to working on a part-time basis for PEAR, Edward is currently the Assistant Manager for the Home Owner Association at Carneros Resort and Spa and has over 8 years of experience in the hospitality business. He loves working with people and being able provide excellent customer service. Outside of work he loves spending time with his family and dog. He loves food, wine tasting, playing soccer and watching sports. Edward is also bilingual.
Neil Horie, Financial Analyst Neil joined PEAR Accounting Solutions during 2020. He is a financial analyst and brings 5 years of public accounting experience. His primary focus as a member of PEAR Accounting is on advisory services such as outside controllership, cash flow forecasting, budget analysis and QuickBooks consulting. He's also in the process of studying for his CPA exam. Neil grew up in Orlando, Florida. He was active duty Air Force for 4 years and now serves in the Air Force Reserves where he is an Aircraft Hydraulic Systems Specialist. Neil graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He also graduated from the Community College of the Air Force with an Associates of Applied Science in Aerospace Hydraulics.
Erie DeGon, Accounting Specialist Erie is a Houston, Texas native but fell in love with Napa from her very first visit. Her love for Napa and the community continued to grow over the years. Erie now spends part of her time as a Napa resident and part of her time living in Houston. She is excited to be a part of PEAR Accounting Solutions. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting. She has spent most of her career in the oil and gas industry but is very excited to bring her knowledge to the beverage and food industry.
Erie has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Outside of work she enjoys wine tasting with her husband, working with animal rescue organizations and playing with her 3 dogs.
Bonnie Williams, Administrative Assistant Bonnie also resides in Houston, Texas. She joined our team in 2019. Daily, Bonnie is behind the scenes helping us ensure we have what we need and operations are running smoothly. She has over 14 years experience in document control from her previous positons as a Document Control Sepcialsit and Coordinator. She spends her work days along side her fur babies and even throws birthday parties for them.
Tatiana Hall, Administrative Assistant Tatiana joined our team in 2020 to hold down the fort at our office headqaurters in Napa. She has experience working in the food industry and was also previously a Yoga instructor. She is currently attending the local Junior College and pursuing a degree in Accounting. We are excited to have her on the team and look forward to watching her grow within the firm.
Lorena Martinez, Tax Preparer Lorena joined our team in 2020 and has many years experiene doing bookkeeping and taxes for her friends and family. She most recently worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block. Lorena assists in preparing taxes during our tax season. When shes not working, she is a full time mother to her girls.
Jimmy Calvert, Accounting Specialist Jimmy has many years of experience in the food industry working as a Bar Tender and Server in Napa's Red Hen Cantina. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and now works for the Doctor's Company during the day. In his spare time, he lends a hand to PEAR to perform bank reconcilations and assist with reivew of payables.
